Timothy Christian

Musical Composition: Originally a jazz bass player, I studied composition at the University of Vermont and Harvard University. I work primarily with keyboard and strings. It is hard to classify the music into a category but it is closest to jazz.

Art: Nearly all paintings are watercolors on hot press Arches block paper ranging from 8 X 10 to 16 X 20 inches. I use Schimnke paints primarily. I started painting as a therapy about 9 years ago having no prior experience or training. The up and down results reflect that.

Children’s Books: I have written and illustrated (with watercolor painting) three children’s books. I was always impressed with EB Whites books in that he never talked down to children. I try to keep that formula in mind so both child and parent are engaged.

Day Job: I am a physician (cardiologist) at a city hospital in NYC. We care for the homeless, undocumented, and otherwise disadvantaged people of NYC and I am proud to be with colleagues who share that commitment.
